Samsung Galaxy Note 4 vs Note 3 Comparison: Rumors, Specs, Price - How Big a Step Up With the New Note Be?

With just a few days remaining until the Samsung Unpacked Event, where the Korean tech firm is scheduled to unveil its upcoming phablet, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, fans are eagerly waiting to know what the device will offer.

Here is a brief comparison between the speculated specs of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and its predecessor Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is available for about $730 and it is unlikely that the price of this device will be reduced, at least not until the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is released. It is expected that the launch price of the upcoming phablet will be between $910 and $995.

As far as the aesthetic appeal and design are concerned, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will have a powerful and attractive 5.7-inch screen, something very close to its predecessor. The measurements as well as the overall weights of the two tablets - Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Note 4, are likely to be more or less the same. While Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will be available in the same colors as the Note 3, this time around, Samsung is likely to replace the faux-leather panel with a textured plastic design, something similar to that of Samsung Galaxy S5.

As the new device is likely to carry a heavy price tag of around $995, it will definitely be a shame if Samsung does not make it dust and water resistant. Rumor has it that Samsung Galaxy Note 4 may come with the Retina Scanner, which is not available in the Note 3.

While these features of the phablet are just rumors at this stage, one should not be surprised if the Note 4 comes with the Heart Rate Sensor and the Finger ID scanner, in addition to the S Health App that allows the users know if they have been exposed to sunlight for too long.
