Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Release Date, Specs Rumors: Leaked Memo Says New Phablet May Be Available on Sept. 15, 2014
The rumor mill has churned out a release date for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, pegging the highly anticipated device with a September 15 launch.
Recently, Android Authority got their hands on an alleged internal memo from an unnamed source, which was intended for Samsung employees and contained the plans for the forthcoming release of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4.
The memo states that the new phablet will be launched on Sept. 3 and will hit the retail stores on Sept. 15. Therefore, the memo said that no Samsung employee will be allowed to file for vacation leave during this period, to ensure a smooth release of the aforementioned device.
Usually, Samsung puts a substantial gap between a product's launch date, and the day it hits retailer shelves. However, this time around, the company seems to be in a hurry to sell its products. Apparently, the Samsung sales figures have not been the best recently, which provides reason for the tech-titan to change up their marketing strategy.
If this hold any water, Galaxy Note 4 will be available for purchase two weeks after it's formally released.
The memo does not make mention any of the other devices that were rumored to be released at the same time as the Galaxy Note 4. Previously, the device was said to be coming out alongside the Galaxy Gear and the Galaxy Alpha.
In the meantime, rumors are afloat that the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 be packed with a quadHD screen display having 2,560 x 1,440 pixel resolution, 64-bit processor, Android 4.4.3 Kitkat operating system, 3GB RAM, and a 3 megapixel front-facing camera.
It was reported that the phablet will come in two variants with different processors; the international variant will be available with Exynos chipset, while the device to be released in the United States will sport the Qualcomm's Snapdragon processor.
In addition, there have been reports in Korean media that the phablet will sport 12MP with Optical Image Stabilization paired with 3.7MP front-facing camera instead of the current ISOCELL technology. It was also rumored that the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 would come with a UV Sensor and Retina Scanner.
However, Samsung has not confirmed any of these rumors.
