Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Release Date, Specs and Price: Latest Phablet Launches Sept. 3 At Samsung Unpacked 2014
The latest edition of Samsung's highly popular Galaxy Note handheld series is expected to be released on September 3 during the Samsung Unpacked 2014 Episode 2 event. The latest news comes as Samsung has reportedly been sending out invites to chosen individuals for its unpacked event with a caption that reads "Ready? NOTE the date!" The Samsung Unpacked 2014 Episode 2 event is part of the IFA 2014 consumer electronics trade show in Berlin.
The long-awaited Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is expected to have an enhanced retina scanner, a UV sensor, and a large 5.7" 2K screen that is about .2 inches larger than its Note predecessors are. The upcoming Note 4 is also reportedly expected to be released in two different variations - one with the conventional flat OLED display for the mass market, and a limited edition curved OLED display variant.
According to reports, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is expected to priced from $650 to $800.
Reports also claim that the latest Samsung phablet will be coming in with a full metal case, an S-Pen stylus, and as expected, will still be powered by Google's Android operating system. Also, the Note 4 will bear a quad-core Krait 450 Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor chip, similar to that of its other flagship smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy S5.
Another rumored Note 4 exclusive feature is the phone's reported ability to recognize its user's handwriting, which is an add-on to its security features.
The latest Samsung Note 4 is expected to be released in the same color variants as the S5 which are Charcoal Black, Electric Blue, Copper Gold and Shimmery White.
