Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Release Date, Price and Specs Latest: IFA 2014 in Berlin

Samsung's latest Galaxy S5 smartphone has been released since April, and already the Galaxy Note 4 is set to launch sometime in September.

Samsung mobile chief Lee Young Hee has said that the phablet would be released in the second half of 2014. Some say that the phone will see a release at the IFA show in Berlin, much like how the three previous Galaxy Notes were released.

No price has been officially announced yet, but expect it to be more expensive than the Galaxy S5, somewhere around $800.

There are a few rumors about the specs on the Galaxy Note 4. For the fourth generation of the Galaxy Note phablet, screen size might be the same as the Note 3, at 5.7-inches. There is speculation that the Note 4 is going to have a screen size of 5.9-inches because of the gradual increase from the first Galaxy Note (5.3-inches) to the Note 3 (5.7-inches).

Having a 5.9-inch screen would put the Note 4 in the same size class as the HTC One Max and the LG G Pro 2.

In terms of resolution, there are reports that the Note 4 will be following suit with LG's G3 phone, with its 2560 x 1440 QHD display. Having this resolution might justify the Note 4 having the same screen size as the Note 3 as it would benefit greatly from a higher pixel density.

The Galaxy Note 4 is said to be powered by a 64-bit chip, much like Apple's iPhone 5S. The processor will be a Snapdragon 805 for the U.S., Korean, Chinese, and Japanese markets while the European market version will get the company's new Exynos 5433 chip.

It is usually a trend with Samsung that the Note series gets improved upon with each version it releases. The Note 3 was packed with 3GB of RAM so the Note 4 might get 4GB of RAM.

There is even speculation that the Note 4 might get a more powerful graphics processor, more powerful than the Note 3 and the Galaxy S5's Adreno 330 GPU. If that is the case, the Note 4 could be the fastest gaming tablet in the market on the day of its release.
