Samsung Galaxy A3, A5, A7 Release Date, Specs: All Three Smartphone Handset Models Have Android 5.1 Lollipop
Leaks and rumors about much anticipated gadgets are common as the actual date of release approaches. Rumors are also part of the marketing strategy to keep the customers guessing and excited. Details include possible dates of release, technical specifications and price range. Samsung was not immune to rumors and speculations weeks before its official launch of the second generation of Galaxy A smartphones.
Samsung has finally made the official announcement after several weeks of anticipation and speculations among the analysts and the general mobile phone consumers. The company formally launched the Samsung Galaxy trio, namely, the Galaxy A3 (2016), Galaxy A5 (2016) and Galaxy A7 (2016).
Based on the official announcement, the Galaxy trio is commercially available in China last month. Other markets will soon follow by this year. The retail price for the metal-clad Galaxy A handsets is not yet available despite of the official launch of the smartphones.
Based on the technical specifications, all the three smartphone handset models have Android 5.1 Lollipop as operating system. All three will also come in dual SIM options. The A7 has a 5.5-inch screen with full HD resolution of 1080x1920 pixels. It features an octa-core SoC with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of memory storage.
Meanwhile, the A5 has most of the features of the A7. There are only a few minor variations between the two like the smaller 5.2-inch display and lower RAM at 2GB.
Finally, the A3 is the smallest of the trio with only 4.7-inch display and a lower RAM of 1.5GB. It is highly compact and weighs only 132 grams.
