Finnish computer game developer Rovio Entertainment has released 'Angry Birds 2' and players can download the video game on their Apple iOS and Android devices.

Quting Business Insider, Latin Post says that the game is actually the 13th version of 'Angry Birds,' but the creator Rovio is of the view that it is worthy of the name, 'Angry Birds 2.' In fact, 'Angry Birds 2' is "the first sequel" to the original 'Angry Birds,' and different from the other variants of the game like 'Star Wars,' it is based on the original.

Meanwhile, Engadget reports that the aim of the game, however, remains unchanged. 'Angry Bird 2' allows users to use slingshots to drive birds into objects that protect pigs. On the other hand, the gameplay of this game has been improved by incorporating new multi-stage levels, spells as well as boss battles with pigs.

Similar to other versions of 'Angry Birds,' this game also has different bird variety and capabilities. In 'Angry Birds 2,' the birds are represented by cards at the base of the screen, and players can choose from them prior to the level starts. Moreover, the new game includes new objects and a new bird.

According to the developer, 'Angry Birds 2' will be challenging, and when players run out of lives even before completing a level, they will either have to start spending real money or wait patiently for lives to reinforce.

In every level of 'Angry Birds 2,' players will get only three lives to complete the level, According to Android Police, this means that once the players run out of cards, they lose a life. However, lives will be regenerated by spending 60 gems or normally after 30 minutes. In addition to purchasing 80 gems for $0.99, players can avail other amounts as well.

In order to encourage the players about the game, Rovio is currently offering a number of in-game bonuses, provided they complete the first world of 'Angry Birds 2' within the next two weeks.

'Angry Birds 2' is a free download available from the Google Play or Apple Store. While the game itself is free, there are in-app purchases to lure players with gems and additional lives.
