Ronda Rousey Next Fight: Cat Zingano Looks to Snatch Women's Bantamweight Champion Title
UFC chairman Lorenzo Fertitta has revealed that Ronda Rousey will fight Cat Zingano on January 3, in Las Vegas next year. Rousey, currently 10-0 and the UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion, looks to prolong her streak of domination.
However, Cat Zingano is certainly not a pushover as she's also on a winning streak of 9-0, post technical knockout against Amanda Nunes on Sept 27. Should Cat manage to win she will equal Ronda Rousey's record wins.
Meanwhile Ronda has stated that she would rather die than tap out and is in no mood to relinquish her UFC champion status. The champion was talking to Jim Rome on Showtime and discussed her personal life, professional life, and her take on fighting to win.
Ronda who is 27 years of age will be a strong contender for years to come, but she says that she dreads retirement and will find it difficult to move on. She says life without goals will be difficult and hence she is trying to chart out a goal for herself when the time comes.
Meanwhile Cat Zingano has stated that she is ready. Though she has respect for Ronda Rousey she said her time has come to capture the title. Ronda has responded that she respects Cat and will give her the fight she deserves.
