After their rumored breakup, Canadian rapper Drake has reportedly stated that he wants to maintain a friendship with ex-girlfriend Rihanna following a series of alleged ignored phone calls. 

According to rumors, Drake apparently knew that his relationship with Rihanna was not going to last and wanted to break up with her even a few weeks back.

A Hollywood Life source close to Drake said that the 27-year-old rapper still loves Rihanna but only to the point of friendship.  He added that he and his ex-girlfriend have been having constant arguments.

"I'm not saying it's a wrap, but it's getting there.  In all honesty, he would much rather be her friend.  He loves her too much to get into something that's not going to work.  He doesn't want one of them to get hurt in the end so he really just wants to be her friend and that's where things are now," the Hollywood Life source said.

"He chalks it up to the fact that she's been in very immature relationships with very young men and doesn't know that when you're in love, there are no arguments," the source added.

Rumor has it that Drake is now dating Brandy Prince, after a photo posted by the rapper earlier this month sparked fan speculation.

" Me and my boo since way back when and every now and again @Fairytailshair haaaaa," the photo caption said.

Despite her ex-boyfriend appearing to have completely moved on, the 26-year-old Bajan singer seemed not to mind the controversy.  She was seen out and about at Mastro's Steakhouse in Beverly Hills looking happy.
