ABC's Revenge returns this fall with a new and exciting love triangle sure to keep fans on the edge of their seats. While Jack Porter's suppressed love for Emily Thorne finally catches a break due to Aiden Mathis' death, a new love interest will appear to further pull apart the pair.

TV Line revealed that the new character is Porter's childhood friend, who is suffering from post war traumatic disorder, "He decides to make his short-term visit to the Hamptons permanent after something life-changing happens to Jack, then makes fast friend with a number of the locals, including Em," a source said.

Emily will most likely begin to catch feelings or atleast develop an interest in the newcomer due to his military affiliation. Thorne might be able to manipulate the new character into helping her locate Victoria.

According to Executive Producer Aaron Herberts, the goal is to introduce new characters and at the same time revolve them around Emily's past and future. This way, the new characters can appear in mulitple episodes, instead of serving short lived appearances on the show.

"As we looked back, [actor] David [Clarke] seemed like someone who would shake an unshakable character to the core. She's certainly not predictable, but she's a machine and we know how she's going to react in certain situations, but we don't know how she's going to take it she finally sees her father," Herberts stated.

Revenge Season 4 returns sometime in September or October.
