"Resurrection" on the ABC Network has drawn quite a fan following over its first season, which included just eight episodes. However, even though there were so few episodes, the series generated tremendous interest among viewers, many of whom are now speculating whether the show will be renewed for a Season 2.

While ABC is yet to make any official announcement regarding renewing the show, most experts in the industry are of the view that eventually "Resurrection" will be renewed.

Nevertheless, there are conflicting reports regarding Season 2 of the popular show. While TV Wise has reported that "Resurrection" is still only being considered for a renewal, Zap2 states that the show will definitely be renewed.

The show premiered with a high viewership - 13.9 million, of which 3.8 million were in the 18-49 brackets. The viewership has somewhat dropped since then, with approximately 8 million viewers watching the show during the last few weeks. This could have led ABC to think twice before announcing the show's renewal.

The season finale was aired on May 4, and certainly generated a lot of interest, both among viewers as well as critics. 

If a Season 2 is confirmed soon then we expect it to premiere at around the same time of the year, probably in the late winter or early spring. That makes it a prime candidate to be a midseason replacement for a show that did not live up to the expectations on ABC.
