‘Resident Evil 7’ Release Date PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 News: Chris Redfield and Claire Reunite? [TRAILER, DEMO]
As the 'Resident Evil' videogame franchise constantly evolves with each and every installment, the upcoming 'Resident Evil 7' title will be similar to its survival horror story predecessor, 'Resident Evil 4'.
On that note, during the Electronic Entertainment Expo held last June, Capcom announced that 'Resident Evil 7' is not going to be an entirely new title, but rather an intertwining version of 'Resident Evil: Revelations' one and two.
The trailer released for 'Resident Evil Revelations 2' shows Claire Redfield enjoying a banquet event, but is immediately abducted. Claire consequently wakes up in an abandoned facility only to discover grizzly creatures and events that will shape her unexpected journey.
Avid 'Resident Evil' fans are hopeful that this can be the next big thing after 'Resident Evil 6' received relatively lower approval ratings from gamers.
This is also a chance for Claire Redfield, who's seen in 'Resident Evil 2' and 'Code Veronica' back in the '90s, to get some spotlight.
What fans really want to see, is her reunion with her brother Chris, who happens to be one of the lead playable characters in the original 'Resident Evil' game. Fans feel it's time for the long overdue reunion to take place.
Notably, Moira Burton, daughter of Berry Burton, also makes a few appearances in the story, but her character is not playable at any point in the game. On a side note, an 18-minute demo was shown during TGS 2014 in Japan.
'Resident Evil Revelations 2' is slated for release early in 2015 for PS4, PS3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360.
