'Resident Evil 7' PS4, PS3, Xbox One, 360 Release Date: New Game Slated for Oct. 2015 Launch

Capcom has finally announced the release date for 'Resident Evil 7', putting a stop to all the rumors and speculation. The new title, is a remake of the 2002 Gamecube version, and will be released on PlayStation 4, Playstation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC sometime in October, 2015.

Created by Shinji Mikami, the new title is based off 'Resident Evil' (1996), which came out for the original PlayStation console.

Along with the release date announcement, Capcom said that the delay in the game's launch, is due to issues with resources and finance.

According to Capcom, the major changes related to gameplay will comprise scrolling camera angles, which will be available for some selected scenes. In addition, 'Resident Evil 7' will come with a widescreen mode, 5.1 surround sound and full 1080p support for the next generation consoles.

Capcom said that while the "tank" controls of the original game will be intact, players will also have a "modern option" wherein the character will be moved by the analog stick. If a player does not want the new controls or 16x9 options he or she can set it up like the original, old school version.

In addition, characters in the upcoming game will have new costumes. In fact, Capcom has taken the character models pretty seriously this time around.

Apparently, Capcom reached out to a company that specializes in this sort of thing, and got them to make the costume designs. The company located in Los Angeles, California, has built up a good reputation from their work on numerous games such as 'God of War III' and 'Black Ops'.
