Relient K New Song "Collapsible Lung" Video, New Album 'Collapsible Lung' Releases July 2nd / Summer Tour w/ The Almost, Watch Here (VIDEO)

Relient K's much anticipated new album Collapsible Lung releases this Tuesday, July 2nd.

Today the band has released another lyric video of a song from their up coming record, this time it was the title track "Collapsible Lung" (which you can listen to above)

Relient K has been through some major changes lately, with several members leaving the band indefinitely for unknown reasons. John Warne (bass guitar), Jon Schneck (guitar) and Ethan Luck (drums), released a statement on their Facebook page that they will not being touring with them or rejoining the band for the for seeable future. Both John's have played at all Relient K shows for the past 8 years and Ethan Luck has played every show since 2008.

The musical direction of Relient K definitely gets a more pop feel with this record, something that you can kind of her that Matt Thiessen has wanted to expand to for awhile with his writing. Whether you like the new direction of the band's songs, there is no doubting that Thiessen is a great songwriter.

Relient K and their newly revamped line up is hitting the road this summer with special guests The Almost & The Rocketboys. Their new album Collapsible Lung is releasing July 2nd, the same night the tour kicks off at Rocketown in Nashville,TN.

The Almost was started in 2005 by Aaron Gillespie (drums/vocals Underoath) for an outlet to release original material that he had been writing. They released their first full length album Southern Weather in 2007. Their new album, The Fear Inside Our Bones, released on Tuesday, June 11th.

The Rocketboys, the indie-rock band from Austin,Texas will also be opening the show as support for the tour!
