‘Reign’ Season 2 Spoilers: New Characters Revealed - Narcisse & Conde

A scintillating new character will be played by a "Lord of the Rings' actor in Season 2 of "Reign'.

TV Fanatic has confirmed that Craig Parker, known for playing Haldir in "The Lord of the Rings' series, will be playing the role of Narcisse. The website also pointed out that Narcisse will likely become an enemy of Catherine, mainly because everyone tends to become the Queen's foe in one way or another. Parker's character will also reportedly be a recurring one.

KSite TV recently interviewed Megan Follows, who plays Queen Catherine, and asked her some insights on her character.

The actress said that, "Catherine was a very, very powerful woman, who's power had been"”not really in the shadows, but she had to be careful. So it's going to be interesting. She became Queen Consort. She got it into her, basically, a contract, that she would be Queen throughout the reigns of her sons. It's going to be interesting to see where we go with it."

It goes without saying that the Queen will be tackling a lot of issues next season, and a new set of problems are bound to arise with the debut of the new characters.

Among the new faces that will be seen in Season 2 is Princess Claude, the never-before-seen daughter of Queen Catherine and King Henry. Her motive for returning to the castle is unclear, but she is described to be trouble maker.

Another new character is Conde, who will strike an unusual friendship with Francis, and Prince Thomas, who may or may not be the next King of France.

'Reign' Season 2 will air its premiere episode on October 2, 9PM ET on The CW Network.
