Veteran pitcher Ryan Dempster is on the hill for Boston going up against youngster Justin Grimm for the Texas Rangers.

In 9 starts this season, Grimm has stepped up and solidified himself as a long term starter in the Rangers rotation.

Dempster has been struggling a bit for the Boston Red Sox. With a 2-6 record, a 4.45 ERA, and 13 walks in his last 14 2/3 innings, it's hard to say how long Dempster will remain in the 5th spot of the Red Sox rotation. Would the Red Sox consider bringing up some young talent from the farm system to see if they can do better than Dempster? One silver lining for Dempser: he's setting a career record for strikeouts [10.2 per 9 innings].

Both the Red Sox and Rangers have explosive offenses, especially against right handed pitchers. The Rangers are third in the American League with a .784 OPS, well above average. The Red Sox are number one in the MLB, versus right-handed pitchers with an .832 OPS.

For the Rangers, second basemen Ian Kinsler is still out with a rib injury. Also Adrian Beltre will likely miss tonight's game against the Red Sox with an injured hamstring. Missing two of their best hitters could be a deciding factor for the Rangers tonight.

Tune in to see the explosive offenses of the Boston Red Sox and Texas Rangers tonight at 7:10 PM ET on FSSW and MLB Network.
