Red Dead Redemption Sequel, Release Date & Rumors: Fan Expectations For New Title
It has been a long time since Rockstar Games released Red Dead Redemption way back in 2010, so many fans are beginning to assume that it's time for an addition to the series.
There are no official announcements yet regarding the sequel's release date but there is speculation that it would be announced sometime at the end of the year. Furthermore, there are rumors that the sequel won't be named "Red Dead Redemption 2."
Since a Red Dead series game was released 2004 and was called Red Dead Revolver and the 2010 release was called Red Dead Redemption, "Red Dead Redemption 2" is going to be highly unlikely. There are rumors that the sequel will be called "Red Dead Rebellion."
While the wait is on, fans have been going on about what they want or expect to see in the next Red Dead game. Trustedreviews.com makes a compilation about all the expectations and can be seen here.
Players said that they wanted more protagonist depth since they really weren't feeling main character John Marston as the fearsome gunslinger of the Wild Wild West. Seeing as how GTA V was handled well by Rockstar, players wanted the same degree of control in their characters in the next game.
Naturally, the game's splendid environments are something to look forward to as well as more varied missions. Despite being an open-world game, Red Dead Redemption did not have the same depth and complexity that any of the Grand Theft Auto games had.
