Real Madrid will be the favorites when they battle Ludogorets Razgrad this afternoon, especially with soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo leading the charge against the Bulgarian side.
"Yes, undoubtedly Ronaldo is number one. I don't want to offend other players I've coached, but he's my number one," said Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti to reporters at the Vasil Levski national stadium in Sofia yesterday.
"Cristiano is an outstanding professional. He's committed to the team and the club, he doesn't talk much, but he is a leader. He scores more goals under a coach who puts him in the right scheme. He scores more goals under a coach who puts him in the right scheme."
Real Madrid is looking to continue their winning ways after recently defeating FC Basel by 5 - 1 on September 16.
Meanwhile, Ludogorets Razgrad will try to upset the dominant Spanish team, as their goalie Vladislav Stoyanov is set to return from his recent one game suspension.
"Real Madrid are a galactic team, the best in the world, and we're going out to enjoy it and play good football. It's an honor to play against them as we've only been up there with the elite for the last four years, so it's fantastic. However, we are not afraid of them. They've won 10 European Cups, Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo cost €100m each, but there is no fear," said Ludogorets manager Georgi Dermendzhiev to reporters.
Dermendzhiev's player Dani Abalo echoes his skipper's sentiments.
"It won't be easy but we'll do our best because it's a historical match for Ludogorets," said Abalo to reporters, "I hope that someday I'll return to La Liga."
The game will start at 2:45 pm ET and can be watched on TV on Fox Sports 2 and Sky Sports or online through live stream by clicking here.
