It's spiltsville for the 'Real Housewives of New Jersey' reality show star Teresa Giudice. She refused to show up for her soon to be ex-husband Joe's sentencing in his driver's license fraud case.

The star who has been sentenced to 15 months in the prison has apparently met with a top notch divorce attorney to thrash out the legal implications.

Sources say that Teresa has hired a female attorney, who apart from helping Teresa with her divorce, will also pitch in for her re-appeal to scrap the 15 month jail time.

The second highest paid reality star after Nene Leakes received the 15 month prison sentence for having been involved in bank, mail, wire and bankruptcy fraud and has been indicted on 41 counts of fraud.

The reality star is desperate to wriggle out of her prison sentence which starts in January 2015. Hence she is planning to clean sweep her association with her fraudster husband Joe. She is also planning to submit details of her net worth in a bid to escape prison time.

On the other hand the viewership ratings for the show, which had plummeted in the recent months, may just be back up- given the indictment of the Giudice couple.

But Teresa is going to spend more time with her kids before going to prison, rather then turning up for the shoot. This has invited the displeasure of the Bravo bosses who might end up taking Teresa off the show.

The other housewives of the New Jersey based show have rallied around Teresa, in the wake of her attempts to divorce Joe.
