Real Housewives of New Jersey Cast News: Kathy Wakile Writes Dessert Cookbook, Released September 2
In the latest 'Real Housewives of New Jersey' news, Kathy Wakile has recently finished a new dessert cookbook she's been working on. The book, entitled 'Indulge: Delicious Little Desserts That Keep Life Real Sweet' releases September 2.
Wakile's passion and flair in the kitchen was showcased when her amazing cannoli cornucopia debuted on an episode of RHONJ. The dessert was the finishing touch of the Thanksgiving dinner, which impressed her friends, family, and co-stars Melissa and Joe Gorga.
"I was flooded with tweets, emails and Facebook comments," says Wakile, "You could say I wrote a cookbook by popular demand."
The 'Indulge' cookbook is a collaboration with Miriam Harris, and offers a collection of mini-desserts that are mainly Italian-inspired.
"These are real desserts for real people, just small-sized," says Wakile, "You can indulge but still maintain a balanced lifestyle."
Meanwhile, Wakile and Teresa Guidice seemed to have a little disagreement about the cookbook. Guidice said, "a dessert cookbook will never do well because everyone is watching their weight." To which Wakile joked, "She said [that] while we were sitting in a bakery."
Apparently, Guidice wasn't very supportive of her friend's cookbook endeavor, "Instead of encouraging me she started saying things or making a real point of not acknowledging me when we were all together," said Wakile.
This is rather strange as Guidice has a few cookbooks of her own published, one being 'Fabulicious! Teresa's Italian Family Cookbook.'
"I can't understand what goes on in her head," joked Wakile.
