Rayman Legends PS4 Version Uses PS Vita Remote Play without Wii U's GamePad Functionality

Rayman Legends for Sony's PS4 and Vita will work differently than its Wii U counterpart.

The PS4 version of the game will use Sony's PlayStation Vita Remote Play, but not like how the GamePad is used for the Wii U reported Polygon. For the Wii U, the GamePad can be used as a co-op player.

"You can play the entire game on your PS Vita, without the need to use the TV," wrote a Sony blogger in a forum when asked about the Vita being used as a co-op controller. "However, you cannot control Murfy in touch mode on the PS Vita, because even in Remote Play mode you will continue to play the same version of the game when you use the PS4 joystick. The Murfy levels on PS4 have been designed to be played with a classic character, such as Rayman or Globox, for example. So, in using your PS Vita in Remote Play mode, you will find the originality and specificity of this PS4 version."

The player can use the DualShock 4's touchpad for Lucky Ticket scratching, and also in 'Camera Mode' to manipulate a screenshot, Polygon reported.

The game will be released on February 18 for the PS4 and Xbox One. It came to the PS3, PS Vita, Wii U, and Xbox 360 in September
