The preview trailer for "Ray Donovan" season 4 has just been dropped and the one-minute clip shows Liev Schreiber's character desperate to seek mercy, even as his job calls for him to be merciless.

The opening scene shows Ray Donovan kneeling on the church with Schrieber's voice over saying, "forgive me father for I have sinned."

"Confess your sins..."

"I have hurt people... caused pain..." he continues.

"Can you find the kingdom of God in your heart?" the priest asks.

"I can't find anything," he replies, as shown in the preview trailer of "Ray Donovan" season 4.

"Last season's intense battle with the Armenian mafia leads a wounded Ray to reconnect with his forsaken faith," reported Aces Showbiz. "With a second chance at redemption, Ray is on a path to becoming a much better husband and father. But while things at home are improving, his work is not cooperating, introducing him to worlds more formidable and dangerous than ever before."

For his part, Mickey (played by Jon Voight) has left LA and start fresh somewhere away from Ray Donovan, according to the "Ray Donovan" season 4 preview by Movie Web.

Guest stars for "Ray Donovan" season 4 include Ted Levine, Lisa Bonet, Gabriel Mann, Chris Coppola, Embeth Davidtz, Billy Lush and Ismael Cruz.

"Ray Donovan" season 4 is set to air on Sunday, June 26, on Showtime. There should be more spoilers that will come out before then.
