Eminem's "MMLP2" Tops Billboard With Over 790,000 Copies, No. 1 on Billboard Music Charts

Rapper Eminem , released his eighth studio album, "MMLP2", two-weeks ago and within that time has managed to land No.1 on the Billboard Charts, along with having the second-biggest sales week of this year. The first album in three whole years is said to be one of the best comebacks from any Rapper. "MMLP2" has sold 792,000 copies within it's first week, beating his last two albums, "Recovery" and "Relaspe". Though it hasn't beaten the first "MMLP", that reached nearly 1.76 million copies in 2000, the sells are no where close to stopping. So far, "MMLP2" is ranking at No. 6 for some of the biggest sales week in the past five years, even surpassing Taylor Swift's "Red" and Lady Gaga's "Born This Way".

Eminem's full 21-track CD was leaked about a week ago, and it obviously hasn't effected the outcome of his CD thus far. Keith Caulfield, Billboard's Associate Director of Charts/Retail stated that Eminem can always sell his albums no matter what. "Unlike most people in the record industry, he's consistently able to sell hundreds of thousands of records in one week. We're talking about an artist repeatedly doing this since his second album. It's normal for him. And he can sell tracks. He can sell out satdiums. How can you bottle what he does? It's Amazing". Eminem falls short to Justin Timberlake with his "20/20 Experience", as he currently holds the number one spot for the biggest sales week of the year. Nevertheless, it is still the biggest opening week for Eminem since the early 2000's.
