Tonight the Rangers put rookie Martin Perez [1-1, 3.65 ERA] on the mound against Johnny Cueto [4-1, 3.21 ERA ] for the Reds.

This should be a fun weekend of MLB 2013 baseball!

This is what's great about Interleague 2013.

As viewers, you don't get a lot of chances to see the Reds and Rangers go at it. Reds pitcher Cuedo hasn't ever pitched against the Rangers. Though the Rangers pitcher is having an excellent season, he's rebounding off of one of his worst outings, allowing 7 runs and 11 hits in his start against the Diamondbacks.

"Things did not go well,'' Cueto's translator communicated. "It is just one outing but a bad outing. I have a lot more outings, so I have to keep my head up and continue.''

In Cuedo's defense he pitched very well in his last 3 outings, posting an 0.90 ERA for the Rangers.

After spending a couple stints on the DL, Cuedo needs to stay healthy if the Reds want to keep their National League Central hopes alive.

Martin Perez [1-1, 3.65 ERA] has a small sample size to go on. Perez is coming off a pretty good outing against the Cardinals; only giving up 2 runs in 7 innings of work.  Perez is the kind of guy the Rangers need to step into a rotation that hasn't had the best 2013 half of the season.

Watch the Rangers take on the Reds in tonight's interleague matchup at 8:40 PM ET on local channels and the MLB Network.
