Rangers VS Bruins ONLINE LIVE STREAM: Game 5 Preview / Can New York Fight It's Way Back, Down 1-3? Watch Online Here
There's one of ray of sunshine on the New York Rangers. After going down 0-3 to the Boston Bruins, the Rangers eked out a winning goal in overtime during last night's Game 4.
About halfway into the second period the Bruins were up 2-0 and looked certain to the end the series last night. After a defensive gaffe from Bruins goalie Tuukka Rask in the second period, allowing an open look for Ranger Carl Haeglin to score, the Rangers got hot for what seems like the first time all season. With the help of the home crowd in Madison Square Garden the Rangers turned the tables and escaped elimination for the third time in this year's playoffs.
"We're breathing. We have a long road to go," said Rangers head coach John Tortorella. "We just need to think about one more game and that's in Boston."
Boston fans are praying to the hockey gods that the 2013 Bruins team don't repeat what the team did three years ago in the same position. Up 3-0 in a series against the Philadelphia Flyers in the 2010 playoffs, the Bruins famously collapsed and lost in four straight.
Bruins head coach Claude Julien isn't worried about his team.
"Had we been outworked and not been there at all, we would be talking differently here. But we didn't get outworked, and all it was, as a team, was we didn't execute as well as we have been."
Game 5 New York Rangers at Boston Bruins airs 5:30 ET on NBC
