'Quantum Break' Release Date News, Update, Details: New Patch Improves Frame Rate; 'Quit' Added On Menu

On April 28th, Remedy Entertainment, the developer of "Quantum Break," released a new patch which improve the frame rate of the game, added the "quit" option on the menu page and dealt with other issues in the game that need fixings.

According to Christian Post, The Windows 10 upgrade was really large in terms of data storage. The update was reported to be at 27 GB.

The game previously was missing a quit option in the menu which was quite odd since player had to right click or use a task manager to exit the game. It was not convenient at all. Good thing, the developers of the game already fixed the issue and players can now easily go in and out of the game.

General Windows 10 Fixes / Updates:

  • Fixed a few Unicode issues which prevented the players from launching the game
  • Fixed a few keyboard input problems
  • Fixed the aspect ratio and as well as the full screen scaling for non 16:9 resolution screens
  • Enabled the Alt+Enter to change from full screen to windowed mode and vise versa
  • Fixed resolution selection when changing from full screen to windowed mode and vise versa
  • Fixed frame timing
  • Fixed options menu items
  • Fixed 1 px gaps
  • DRM fixes
  • Unlock descriptions for Will Diary 1 and Will Diary 2 were also fixed
  • Credits fixes
  • Fixed Jack's lacking subtitles
  • Remedy logo fix
  • Fix for a rare bug which wipes off the game's progress after its completion
  • Fixed cloud saving issues
  • Fixes for Xbox Live integration
  • Fixed in-game grainy TV screen images
  • Fixed circular progress bar alpha in the junction stats screen
  • Fixed rendering issues in the menus
  • Fixed issue in renderer when initializing participating media
  • Fixed video playback not always ending if the video was synced to audio

  • Act 2 Part 1: Fixed Nick pathing issues
  • Act 2 Part 3: Added collision on time machine corridor to prevent players accidentally falling to their death
  • Act 5: Fixed last subtitle going by too quickly to read
  • Act 5: Fixed missing line in Portuguese audio in an Act 5 cinematic
