The next episode of "Quantico" season 1 will follow ex-lovers Ryan and Alex as they are forced to team up for Alex's training. Could this mean that their relationship is finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel?

In episode 20, Alex and Ryan will find themselves working on a case together as NATS are dispatched to various field offices. This will rather be a bit awkward and complicated for the two characters, since Alex does not trust Ryan anymore.  While setting aside all her grudges will make it easier for them to unravel the case, there is no guarantee that Alex can manage to not let her emotions get the better of her.

Based on the synopsis for the episode, "Alex doesn't know who to trust when she discovers a new information about the man she loves."

Some of the spoiler photos for the episode also suggest that their team-up will only lead to something terrible. One photo shows Ryan pointing a gun at Alex, as if suspecting her of being a terrorist.

Ryan and Alex will face each other in the FBI offices to explain their sides. While Alex promised Hannah that she would not drag Ryan into the terrorist drama, there is no guarantee that she would be true to her promise. Also, that does not mean that Ryan will believe her, since he knows that she was the last to see Natalie before she was killed.
