PS4, Xbox One Game Updates: 'The Last of Us Remastered' for PS4 'Photo Mode' Release, 'Halo: The Master Chief Collection' Details

With the recent, July 29, release of 'The Last of Us Remastered' on PS4, video game developer Naughty Dog has included the new Photo Mode in this next-gen version of the game.

As mentioned in the PlayStation Blog, the new Photo Mode will be included with Patch 1.01 for 'The Last of Us Remastered' and will also be a special feature in the PS3 version of the game. This new mode allows gamers to freeze the action and utilize various color filters as well as many frames to capture screenshots in the post-apocalyptic game.

In fact, DualShockers has been able to secure a number of shots taken in Photo Mode from the developers, which show some of the new settings.

DualShocker environmental artist Todd Foster tweeted, "These huge open spaces were a massive pain to optimize last gen. PS4 is all like, 'whatever man, let's do it!'"

"Halo: The Master Chief Collection"

Meanwhile, 343 Industries has exposed some additional details regarding the 'Halo: Master Chief Collection' during this year's Comic-Con in San Diego. According to Xbox Wire, 343 Industries' Andy "Bravo" Dudynsky, Dennis Ries, and Frank O'Connor have revealed some additional key highlights for the game.

343 Industries has crafted a new remastered campaign for 'Halo 2: Anniversary', with a latest multiplayer map, Zanzibar, reappearing in the form of a re-imagined fan-favorite. With this, three of the six anticipated maps have been revealed; the other two being Ascension and Coagulation. Microsoft has assured that it will reveal the next map at the Gamescom event in August.

VG 24/7 has also collected some more details about 'Halo: The Master Chief Collection', and reported that most of the changes will revolve around fixing glitches in the game. Another change will be a a re-rendered "Glory" mode.

In terms of the series' collection of cut-scenes, a seamless story will be told by new narration from 'Halo 5: Guardians, all the way to the first installment, 'Halo'.
