PS4 System Update 2.00 Features & Changes: Adds Music, Library Filter

The upcoming PS4 System Software 2.00 update has finally been unveiled, and gamers are excited about all the new features and changes. The official PlayStation blog dished out some more info about the upcoming version.

On October 16, Scott McCarthy-- Director, Product Planning & Software Innovation, SCEA, made a post about PS4 System Software 2.00, and revealed some of the new features.

He said, "With this update, we've added a Players You May Know tile, the ability to listen to your music while gaming, the option to change the look of your PS4 experience, and easier ways to sort and filter your library of content on PS4."

Sony makes it a point to listen to player feedback in an attempt to bring gamers exactly what they've been wanting. In fact, feedback from the players is strongly encouraged and helps to expedite system updates and changes.

McCarthy said, "As always, we welcome feedback as part of our ongoing effort to make PS4 the best place to play."

As a result, fans took to the comments section at the bottom of the post and shared their reactions the exciting news.

One gamer said, "This is something that we all have been waiting for. Thank you Sony for listening! :)," to which McCarthy responded, "Thanks [gamer] - keep in mind this is revealing a bit more about the update but it is not the full list yet - more to come!"

Evidently, McCarthy hasn't revealed the full list of changes, but the post does update PS4 with what's currently confirmed.
