PS Vita Slim Borderlands 2 Bundle Release Date Set for Spring 2014 in North America

The PlayStation Vita Slim model will have a release date in North America in spring 2014 along with a Borderlands 2 bundle for $199.

The announcement was made by Sony's John Koller in an L.A. press conference, reported Polygon.

He stated the Borderlands 2 PS Vita version of the game will have four player cooperative play along with cross platform compatibility with the PS3 version. Six of the game's add-ons will be available as well.

The slim PS Vita came out in the UK last week, and uses LCD screens instead of OLED, and also uses a narrower touchpad as well as becoming lighter, thinner, and more rounded. The battery is a bit longer, and the handheld is more user friendly.

Polygon reported that the Vita will be a black model that includes a downloadable copy of the game, an 8 GB memory card, and a number of add-ons and extras. In Japan, the Vita comes in six colors.
