Prince New Albums Release Date 2014: 'Art Official Age' & 'Plectrumelectrum'
Fans for the one and only Prince can listen to his fresh new music when the singer releases two new albums on September 30. The two albums are called Plectrumelectrum, which is his album with the group 3rdEyeGirl, and Art Official Age which is his solo LP.
According to reports, it has been five years since Prince's last album 20Ten LP was released. Now he is back and is funkier than ever. There are already several reviews, by early listeners, regarding Prince's Art Official Age album, who was said it was "funkier and nastier," according to a Minneapolis Star Tribune writer.
The record is reported to contain a mix of soul, R&B and funk which Prince produced, arranged, composed and performed alongside singer-songwriter Joshua Welton. A track from the album, "Clouds," is currently streaming here.
The two records are already up for pre-orders on the official website. On a side note, Prince had previously released the video for the track "Breakfast Can Wait" and he played "Funknroll" during his appearance on 'Arsenio' earlier this year.
The pre-orders include "Breakdown" and "Clouds" as well from his a copy of Art Official Age on its release. Also, fans can visit Prince's official website here, which houses all the information regarding how to purchase the two albums.
Prince is reported to be having several events to celebrate the release of his two albums and according to reports, the fans can have a chance to win and see Prince perform at Paisley Park in Minneapolis on October when they make a purchase.
The exciting announcement was recently made on 'Good Morning America' although the digital campaign started after midnight on the East Coast. iTunes also provided a set list for both albums and Warner Brothers rolled out the pre-order websites.
The Art Official Age album contains 13 songs including the previously mentioned one, while the Plectrumelectrum album has 12 tracks.
