Since "Pretty Little Liars" producer Charlie Craig teased that season 7 will be the darkest season yet, fans can expect the upcoming episodes to be too lethal to handle. True enough, the premiere episode of this season opened with a whole slew of challenges for the group, and the follow-up was no different.

Titled "Bedlam," episode 2 featured the abduction of Hanna as well as the role of Mary Drake in the incident.

In the episode, the squad of the series felt guilty about the worsening of Alison's condition at the mental institute. They suspect that the doctor who administered drugs to her actually drugged her to ensure that she will stay at the institute forever.

Episode 1 featured Aria, Emily, Spencer and the rest of the squad suspecting Alison of having some involvement in the murder of Charlotte. However, they did not have any idea that Elliott was doing something dubious to her at the institute.

Before Charlotte died, Elliott promised his wife that he would make sure that Alison would spend the rest of her life at the mental hospital. While the friends didn't know that, episode 2 saw them growing wary of him.

The outcome of Hanna's abduction will bother the Liars. The previous episode saw her running to the road and stopping the car for help, only to find out it was Mary Drake who was at the helm. Now that Hanna and Mary Drake have crossed paths, fans will find out next episode if Hanna is already in safe hands.
