'Pretty Little Liars' Season 6 Release Date, Spoilers: Show Renewal Still Uncertain, Death of Favorite Character in Episode 12
Six more episodes of ABC's 'Pretty Little Liars' Season 5 remain, and already rumors are spreading about the network's willingness to renew the show for a Season 6.
As it stands, there is no news about renewal, but there is news about the show's production team. Show executive producer Marlene King spoke to E! Online and said that the writers for PPL are willing to write another season, but it's up to ABC on whether or not they'll agree to air it.
Talking to the entertainment site, Marlene said, "I don't think the end of season five is the end of our story," adding, "We know what that ending is already and it definitely sets us up for some more stories to tell in season six, but of course we have to rely on ABC Family for that, but I think they'll think so too."
Meanwhile, the show creators have titled the episode 13 "How the 'A' Stole Christmas," which will be a Christmas-themed episode and be aired in the month of December. The show will return with Episode 14 titled "Through a Glass, Darkly" in January 2015.
The remaining episodes and the episode titles of 'Pretty Little Liars' have already been listed on the Wikipedia for PPL Season 5.
Episode 15 - "Fresh Meat"
Episode 16 - "Over a Barrel"
Episode 17 - Unlisted
Episode 18 - "Oh, What Hard Luck Stories They All Hand Me"
Therefore, even if ABC renews 'Pretty Little Liars' for another season, it's going to air sometime in the Spring of 2015.
Meanwhile, it has been announced that the ABC Family will air a special episode in between Episodes 12 and 13 and it will be titled "Fan Appreciation Special." According to recent reports, the special episode is apparently to help restrain the viewers' shock due to the death of a beloved character in Episode 12.
Recently, King told Entertainment Weekly, "Whenever a beloved character or a character that fans appreciate dies, it shakes our world, and the fallout of this death is really what the show is about for the next 13 episodes, including Christmas."
