The First Wives of "Preachers of L.A." Throw a Tea Party on Episode 3 "Tea & Sympathy"
Preachers of L.A. is a reality show that gives viewers a closer look inside the everyday lives of preachers outside of the church who despite their career title are still un-perfect people. If you missed the second episode of the series you can view it below.
Episode 3 of Preachers of L.A. gave us a closer look to the preacher's wives and the role they play in their husbands lives.
Bishop Wayne Chaney's wife Myesha came to the conclusion that there is no place for pastor wives to come together and connect with one another so she decided to throw a tea party for the 1st ladies of the church.
Ron Gibson spent his time doing missionary work by reinventing former drug dealers Big E and Rick Dogg. Gibson took the two gentlemen shopping for attire that's deemed respectable to God. Gibson talked to the men about spreading the word and about getting other troubled men on the path to spirituality and faith.
Jay Haizlip's wife Christy confesses that she is adamant about attending Myesha's tea party because she finds it hard to open up and befriend other women due to her fear of being ridiculed about her status as a pastor's wife.
Deitrick Haddon doesn't find the tea party necessary in the least bit describing them as, "kind of stuffy and stiff." His wife Dominique reveals that Noel's friend, Loretta is invited to the tea party. Deitrick finds it strange because she isn't a first lady and doesn't care to be one.
Loretta informs Noel about her invitation and he becomes defensive claiming that the she is only invited because the ladies want to question her about their relationship. Loretta accepts the invitation, but Deitrick tells her that if the ladies ask her any questions that she's not comfortable answering that she is to tell them that it's none of their business!
The tension quickly grew at the tea part as Noel's and Loretta's relationship became the topic of the party. Loretta addressed the elephant in the room by saying, "Let me be clear. Let's just not assume that I'm here to be his wife."
