Porsha Stewart and Kordell divorce update!

Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Stewart is denying rumors that her and former husband Kordell Stewart are using their divorce as a publicity stunt. The TV show personality insists the couple is currently and genuinely splitting up.

A representative for Porsha Stewart told HipHollywood.com: "She would never bring something like this on herself, especially with them having a child in the house. She wishes things could have been different but that simply is not possible."

Though I do believe the Stewarts are calling it quits, it's a pretty convenient coincidence the cameras were rolling to catch the whole thing.

Sources close to Perez Hilton say: "Porsha found out that she was not going to come back on the show -- and both she and her husband [Kordell] desperately wanted to stay on the 'Housewives.' So they figured if they created a fake divorce, like NeNe [Leakes] did, it would be enough drama for them to be asked back [sic]."

As if a divorce wasn't enough to handle, former NFL quarterback, Kordell Stewart is being accused of breaking it off with his reality star wife because of his closet homosexuality. In the wake of NBA center Jason Collins recently coming out as the first openly gay player still active in team sports, Stewarts comments regarding his own sexuality seem insensitive and intolerable.

"[W]hatever that is you heard that's all it is," he tweeted this week. "Wasn't raised to be nothing but a grown man. Raised by MEN, god fearing MEN."

Kordell and Porsha Stewart hadn't even been married for two years before Kordell filed for divorce March 22. According to the April 21 episode of "Watch What Happens Live" Porsha had to hear about the divorce via Twitter.
