'Pokken Tournament' Wii U Release Date, Characters: Magikarp, Croagunk, Pachirisu & Sylveon Joining Battle?
"Pokken Tournament's" Wii U release date is set to happen on March 18. The game's release for most western countries will be on the same day as the release date in Japan.
The launch was announced through the official Pokemon Twitter account, according to IGN.
iDigital Times also reported that right after the announcement of Chandelure in "Pokken Tournament," Magikarp, Croagunk, Pachirisu and Sylveon will be able to join your Pokémon in battle.
According to Serbeii, there will be a couple of modes offered in the game. There will be a "standard single player mode" which would feature three difficulty levels to test the players' skills, wits and also to try to push their limits in playing the game.
Local multiplayer is also available. It was reported that the first player will be able to play the game through the use of the gamepad, while the second player can use the special controller that comes with the game.
The Tekken/Pokemon hybrid game can also be played online. This feature will be available as two gameplay modes, which are "friendly" and "ranked" battle modes.
In the "Friendly" mode, gamers are offered the chance to play against their friends or other players who have access to their battle codes. "Ranked" matches must be taken seriously since it would be an official match were gamers are battling for points and ratings.
Pokken Tournament will also allow local multi-player gaming through the use of a Local Area Network (LAN).
