'Pokken Tournament' Release Date, Trailer: Launches 2015 in Arcade Game Centers in Japan

Nintendo revealed a new trailer for their upcoming game, 'Pokken Tournament', which is the brainchild of the partnership between 'Tekken' creator, BANDAI Namco Games, and The Pokemon Company.

The developers of the upcoming game have not revealed much more about it, than what's seen in the trailer posted below.

According to Forbes, the game is going to release in arcades first, as a two player fighter. The fighting-type game will showcase Pokemon exchanging punches and attacks with each other, similar to many of the fighting games already in existence.

What's more, is that the Pokemon in the game will not be restricted to Fighting type only, so there's a chance gamers will see some ranged attacks in the game.

Tsunekazu Ishirara, from Pokemon Company, had this to say about the upcoming title, "Pokemon has been a challenge due to the various gameplay types so far, however, nobody has had an experience like this new Pokemon game. For what we had directed, Pokemon's reactive moves have been perfected. By assembling both Bandai and Namco, who are ultimately creating this 3D action game, it is being fully realized," Ishihara said.

The arcade release is set for 2015 in Japan. There are still no mention on whether they are going to release this on Wii U or not.
