Pokemon X and Y is getting a special character once the game reaches 100 million trades worldwide.

Today the Pokemon company announced that the Global Trade System is currently at 90 million trades, once that number tops 100 bug/flying type Vivillon will be added.

"Because of this characteristic, players around the world have been exchanging Vivillon via the GTS to collect all of the regional patterns," the announcement by Pokemon read. "This newly discovered Vivillon breaks with that tradition: it will become available to Pokémon fans across the globe once the 100 millionth Pokémon is traded via the GTS. When this enormous milestone is reached, a special distribution event will take place, enabling all players of Pokemon X or Pokemon Y to receive the Fancy Pattern Vivillon wherever they are in the world!"

According to Polygon, the "Fancy Pattern" Vivillon is different in all regions, so this new event will truly be special. See a picture of the Pokemon here.

Information on a Pokemon X and Y Hoopa event has recently been revealed on Reddit, and for the first time, gamers can learn about this mysterious legendary.

On Reddit it was discovered that Hoopa was part of some canceled content within the game. An event was to occur once a meeting with a certain non-playable character happened. If the gamer had a Hoopa on them, an event would be triggered.

According to Gameranx, Hoopa uses its three rings to move objects and can even expand them for miles to move islands and huge objects. The character also steals gold and treasures from kings and royalty and stashes it in a mountain layer.

In the event, the NPC tells a story of Hoopa taking advantage of a crime organization by stealing from them. It only stopped when the group went into hiding. The character leaves the scenario up to the player, it can be a "source of great misfortune or a trustworthy partner, but it entirely depends on you, the Trainer."
