Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire Mega Evolutions: Game Freak Announces New 'Primal Reversion' Forms for Groudon and Kyogre

New information on Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire has been revealed, the Mega Evolution form on the cover for characters, Groudon and Kyogre, is called Primal Reversion.

According to the game's developer Game Freak, Primal Reversion will make the two legendary characters much bigger and stronger.

"It was a primal age, early in the world's history. The natural world was overflowing with energy. That energy granted Groudon and Kyogre an overwhelming power. Brimming with the overwhelming power granted to them by nature's energy, their transformation was named 'Primal Reversion' by later people. And the people called their tormentors Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre," it stated on the game's site. These two Pokemon are shown in a new and special form on the cover of the game's box.

Gamespot made mention that information on Primal Reversion has not gone beyond simple type and attack stat changes, there is still more to the new evolution.

Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire games are remakes of the Game Boy Advance classics that came out in 2003, Ruby and Sapphire.

As far as the current games, Pokemon X and Y, 2DS bundles are heading to EB Games on June 26 for $179.99, and the games will be pre-loaded into the consoles.

According to Serebii, there will soon be an Eevee event. Registration will begin on July 3 and run until July 10, with the competition going from July 11 through July 14.

IBTimes reported that the event participants will get 1,000 PokeMile points. All battles will have to include one of Eevee's evolutionary forms or Eevee itself.
