Pokemon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire Secret Bases: Popular Feature for Pokemon's Hoenn Region Remakes

Pokemon fans are hyped up about the release of the Hoenn Region remakes of the Pokemon franchise, Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. Since its announcement in May, many players are speculating about what features from the original Ruby and Sapphire versions will be carried over to the remake versions.

The creators behind the game, Game Freak, has been teasing the community with all sorts of updates such as the new overall look of the players in the remakes as well as what it looks like compared to the original version.

Pokemon X & Y did not have a feature that many players wanted to see, Secret Bases. In the previous Pokemon titles, Secret Bases were places that the player could create in order to resupply and replenish their Pokemon. Not only that, but the bases could also be used to battle other players without having to tether their Gameboys.

The bases could be created in various ways, depending on which generation of Pokemon the player is playing in. In the Generation 3 games for example, Secret Bases could be made by first acquiring the Secret Power move. Once acquired, players can create secret bases via vines hanging from trees, indents on walls, and in large oval-shaped bushes.

In previous Pokemon titles, Secret Bases only allowed one rival player to be present for every Secret Base. Players hope that in the Hoenn remakes, Secret Bases would allow more than one player to be present in the base for battle.

The release of the remakes is still a few months away so players can expect that there would still be time for Game Freak to make some announcements about what the game has in store for them.
