Pokemon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire Game Details: Special Demo, Mega Evolutions

Months after the games were announced, rumors have been circulating about 'Pokemon Omega Ruby' and 'Pokemon Alpha Sapphire'. The good news is that the Pokemon Company has recently confirmed some details about the upcoming games, essentially debunking some of the rumors floating around.

On the game's official website, it was announced that a special game demo for the upcoming 'Pokemon' titles will be made available.

"Start your next Hoenn region adventure early with a special demo version of Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire. This demo features gameplay that you won't experience anywhere else," read part of the statement.

The special demo version will allow gamers to have a one of a kind gaming experience, since they will be allowed to export the Pokemon they have trained in the demo version into the full game if and when they buy it.

Through the statement about the availability of the special game demo, Pokemon Company has also confirmed that some Pokemon in the upcoming game will be able to mega evolve.

"During the course of this adventure, you'll be surprised to encounter familiar Pokémon that can now Mega Evolve!," the statement read.

The Pokemon that are said to have the ability to mega evolve are Camerupt, Sharpedo and Gallade, to name a few.

In addition to the confirmation about the demo and mega evolutions, the Pokemon Company also confirmed the leaders of Team Magma and Team Aqua.

Through the release of Japanese trailers for 'Pokemon Omega Ruby' and 'Pokemon Alpha Sapphire', some fans spotted that Maxie, Team Magma's leader, appeared to have a Key Stone in his glasses, while Archie, Team Aqua's leader, has a Key Stone in his necklace.

The game developers confirmed through the official website of the game that the leaders are indeed carrying Key Stones. Maxie's Key Stone is in his glasses, his Mega Glasses, which are necessary to evolve his Pokemon. Similarly, Archie has a Key Stone in his Mega Anchor that functions much like the Mega Glasses.

'Pokemon Omega Ruby' and 'Pokemon Alpha Sapphire' will be released on Nov. 21 in North America, Japan, and Australia, and on Nov. 28 in Europe.
