Pokemon Bank and Poke Transporter Available Now for X/Y Gamers in Asia, North America Release Date Soon

Pokemon Bank and Poke Transporter are set to return in a number of Asian countries according to Tweets by Nintendo.

These two Pokemon X and Y apps launched on Dec. 25 but soon were taken down after the influx of gamers heading to the Nintendo Store crashed the entire server. The server for the Wii U and 3DS were down for days until Nintendo was able to fix up. The release of the apps were set to come to the U.S. on Dec. 27, but instead were delayed with no future date listed. Even now, the date is unknown, but if Japan and the other countries are slowly getting them, North America should be next.

X and Y players will be able to download the app for free for 30 days. When the time limit is over, to keep using the service it will be $4.99 a year.

The Pokemon Bank will allow users to store up to 3,000 Pokemon in cloud based storage boxes online. The Poke Transporter will allow gamers to go back one generation to the Black and White, and Black 2 and White 2 editions of the game, and bring them over to X and Y. Once done, the trade is permanent.
