Pokemon Netflix Live Streaming Release Date March 1: Anime, Movies, Two Seasons and Two Movies to be Available

The Pokemon anime will be heading to Netflix for the first time announced Netflix and The Pokemon Co. International today.

Two seasons of the long running main Pokemon series, along with a couple of the hit movies will be added to the Netflix queue on March 1.

The two seasons coming are spread far apart. The first, is the show's actual debut season which aired from 1997-1999, and focused on series protagonist Ash Ketchum trying to reach the Indigo League with his trusty companion Pikachu and his two side kicks, Brock and Misty. It will be available to stream in North America, the UK, and Ireland.

The other season is actual season 14, which aired in 2010, and moves the story line over to reflect the games, Black & White on the DS. This season still features Ash and his Pikachu. All territories will be able to stream this season.

Pokemon the Movie: Black - Victini and Reshiram and Pokemon the Movie: White - Victini and Zekrom will be the two movies available, both of which were released in 2011.

Last month Pokemon arrived on Hulu for streaming as well.

Hulu's first season of Pokemon starts at 10, or the Diamond/Pearl themed part of the show. There is no word on whether the Red/Blue and Gold/Silver era shows will be coming to Hulu as well.

Polygon reported that the first two episodes of Pokemon the Series: XY will also be coming to Hulu.
