Pokebank Release Date: Download in North America Finally Available, US Fans Flood to Download App

Fans of Pokemon will be celebrating the eagerly awaited Pokemon bank release date, which finally arrived in North America this week. The release has already seen thousands of fans across the United States immediately rushing to download the app and to take advantage of its array of special features.

Across numerous Pokemon-focused blogs and forums, gamers had expressed frustration and impatience over recent weeks at the delay in the app's release. However, the new release will now allow fans to transfer their powerful pokes expand their battles with friends and opponents.

The Pokebank app has landed on the Nintendo 3DS eShop, where it will automatically be at version 1.1, according to Serebii. Pokemon X and Y fans will remember that the version 1.0 did not last for very long, and so this is probably for the best.

Nintendo had promised that the North America release for Pokebank would arrive soon after the release in Europe, Australia and New Zealand, and it appears as though they kept their word, with the North America release coming hot on the heels of the release in those regions.

Pokebank is of course the eagerly anticipated service that will allow trainers to transfer their pokes across games. That means players on Pokémon Black and White will be able to transfer their pocket monsters, as well as ones from Black 2 and White 2.

Even more exciting for players, the Pokebank also allows users to store data on Nintendo's servers, which offers gamers one location to store and transfer their fighting machines.

Nintendo have also offered a special deal to fans; players who download the app before September 2014 will be allowed to access the time-traveling legendary Celebi. Once the Pokebank app is downloaded, gamers are able to load up their start up screen on the Pokemon X and Y system, and select Pokemon Link to access Celebi.

Most users will find that at just $5 a month, the service that Pokebank offers is well worth the expense.
