PlayStation Now Price Point and Concept Art Revealed; European Release Date Expected for 2015 (PICTURE)
PlayStation Now prices may have been revealed according to new concept art that is making its way around the Internet.
IGN reported, it could possibly be between $4.99 and $5.99 to rent a streamed PS3 game. The Gaikai website showed a picture featuring Uncharted 3 and Far Cry 3 with little blue PS Now triangles and a price next to them. See that image here.
IGN reported it is unclear how long these rented games will be available for, and whether the price of the listed games is correct or not. PlayStation Now is expected in North America by the end of this year, and in Europe in 2015.
In other PlayStation news, PlayStation Plus' free games are currently available for the rest of the month.
The games began to be added on March 5, and the first was Dead Nation: Apocalypse Edition for the PS4.
The PS3 has two titles available, Brothers A Tale of Two Sons, and the critically acclaimed Tomb Raider. For the PS Vita, will be Pixeljunk Monsters Ultimate HD, and Smart As.
Important to note is Outlast/Sound Shape, Metro Last Light, Guacamelee, Dynasty Warriors Next, and ModNation Racers Road Trip will be leaving PS Plus, stated the PlayStation Blog. These games were the special deal for February.
Sony recently announced that more than half of their PS4 sales have resulted in their customers also buying a PS Plus subscription.
"All the 4.2 million PS4s that have already moved into the hands of consumers, more than half of the people that have now gotten their hands [on] the PS4 have actually signed up for PS Plus service, which bodes very well for us," said Sony CEO Kazuo Hirai in a conference call, according to a transcript from Seeking Alpha.
Polygon is reporting that this figure remains unclear if the different types of subscriptions are factored in. There was a free 30-day trial, and now there is currently a yearly, three month, and one month version of PS Plus.
