PlayStation Home Update: PS3 Gets Trophy Support; No Plans for Service on PS4

PlayStation Home for the PS3 will be getting Trophy support on March 12 as part of a new update.

The confirmation was made by Chris Owen, the PlayStation Europe community manager.

The update is called PlayStation Home v1.86's, and it will be launched worldwide tomorrow. A full list of possible trophies will be unveiled tomorrow, and retroactive trophies will be given as well, reported Polygon.

Owen responded to a Tweet by a follower, and said there are no plans to bring the update to the PlayStation 4.

The PlayStation 4's sales have surpassed six million units worldwide announced Sony.

"There have now been more than 3.6 million live broadcasts, and more than 56 million spectate sessions on PS4 through Twitch and Ustream," John Koller, vice president of marketing at Sony Computer Entertainment said on the PlayStation blog. "In fact, since January 1st, PS4 gamers account for 20 percent of daily broadcasters on Twitch. PS4 owners are also embracing the Share button on the Dualshock 4 Wireless Controller, with more than 100 million shares captured as fans show friends their latest achievements on Facebook and Twitter."

Sony also announced around 90 percent of U.S. owners have their PS4 connected to the Internet.

The PlayStation 4 launched Nov. 15, and is currently $399.
