Playstation 4 Release Date November 22? / Shipping Instructions Delayed / Assassin's Creed IV Producer Calls New PS4 "A Perfect Jewel" [TRAILER]

Sony hasn't been saying too much about the upcoming Playstation 4. The new console is poised to be one of the biggest releases of 2013, but many speculate if it will even be out this year. According to online reports the PS4 is rumored to have a new DualShock 4 controller equipped with a social gaming feature which allows players to "share" game stats and screenshots [some games will not support "share" and developers have the option of turning it off].

Sony recently released a statement saying the Playstation 4 would hit shelves sometime in lat 2013; a "holiday" 2013 release. Some retailers in the U.K. have even started taking pre-orders. New reports claims the PS4 could be delayed until 2014. New rumors online claim shipping instructions have not been confirmed by Sony's supply chain, leaving a significant gap in time. If the reports are true Playstation fans won't see their beloved new console until months after the projected October release date.

Sony originally planned on shipping upwards to 16 million units in 2013 [I know, seems a little small for an international release]. According to the new shipping reports, somebody hasn't gotten the memo.

Despite delays and shipping errors, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag producer Sylvain Trottier calls the new PS4 a "perfect jewel" and Sony a great company to work with.

"The beauty of working with Sony honestly on this console for this generation was the fact that it was built for the game developers. And to be really honest, Sony fixed all the issues that could have been there on the console and right now I think it's up to us."

Trottier also firmly maintained a November 22 2013 release for the new Playstation 4.
