The successful musical comedy film, Pitch Perfect, will have a sequel, with reports confirming that Pitch Perfect 2 has been given the go ahead and will feature some big performances to match and even top the original hit.

According to initial reports, Pitch Perfect 2 will hit big screens next year, with a premiere date scheduled for May 15, 2015.

Reports claim that the sequel will have more drama as it will be featuring the Bellas as they grow older and of course, put on bigger performances.

It's still a long way to go but fans are already excited to know all the details about the upcoming film. According to reports, the film will have a different angle as the stars of this movie are much older than the first one.

Elizabeth Banks, the producer of the film recently told the Huffington post, "All I can say right now is that they will be graduating seniors this time round, rather than incoming freshmen."

Anna Camp, who plays Aubrey Posen in the film recently said in an interview with The Belfast Telegraph that "Round two is lots of dancing and singing."

Those behind the film will be hoping that the sequel can once again amaze audiences with the cast's superb a capella performances.

The lead star of the film, Anna Kendrick even teased fans that the movie will definitely ramp up to a big production this time around. In her recent interview with People magazine she said, "There is a point in Pitch Perfect 2 when I am at a great height and have to jump, and it was actually totally terrifying for me and took me like 3 takes to take the jump. Even thinking about it right now makes my stomach turn."
