Pitch Perfect 2 is here with an all set of cast members and welcomes the 'The Filharmonic' to the production team.

Elizabeth Banks, the creator and producer of the first film just confirmed that the all-boys acapella group will be joining the cast of the film as she directs the sequel. According to previous news, an announcement has been made regarding the appearance of The Filharmonic group for the film's second installment. Moviegoers will most likely expect to see the sequel on big screens on May next year as it is currently in production.

"We thought the Bellas and the Trebles needed some competition. Meet the gentlemen of The Filharmonic. They'll be joining the Pitch Perfect 2 team," Banks officially announced on her website.

New talent will be showcased in the upcoming sequel as the six-member group officially joins the team. The Filharmonica group first appeared on the reality TV show, 'The Sing-Off' during the fifth season where they came in the fourth place. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the group's style is being described as "an urbanesque hip-hop sound with '90s nostalgia".

The California native group is linked through their Filipino heritage and the way they deliver their music, is they perform in a wide variety of style which includes the pop, acappella, jazz, opera, theater and classical. Aside from the a capella group, other stars will also be joining the film.

As Pitch Perfect 2 is about to hit the theaters this May, stars that will be joining Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson includes several stars such as Katey Sagal and Hailee Steinfeld.
