'Pirates of the Caribbean 5' Release Date and Film Location News

Just recently, it was officially confirmed that the highly anticipated film, 'Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell no Tales', will be released in July 2017. There have also been reports saying that the production team will start filming next year in Australia.

It has been speculated that the fifth installment of the phenomenal film franchise, 'Pirates of the Caribbean', will be bigger than the first four films. The most recent addition, 'Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End', was reported to have spent $3.5 million and was considered to be one of the most expensive film ever made.

According to a source from Daily Mail, production will start filming next year, particularly in Village Roadshow Studios, on the Gold Coast of Queensland, Australia. Other locations have also been mentioned in regards to filming, South East Queensland, Southport Seaway, and Cleveland Point.

Reports came about after witnesses claimed to see a couple of representatives from the production team on a guided tour of Village Roadshow Studios. This makes it entirely possible that 'Pirates of the Caribbean 5' will use Australia as its main filming location. On a side note, if the film does shoot down under, many jobs will have to be created to support such a big budget film.

Sources also mention that initial negotiations with the Australian Government have already started. As it stands, Village Roadshow Studios, might just be the perfect place to film such a movie. The location is very water centric which is of course fitting for the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' franchise. Also, Village Roadshow Studios has the largest water tank filming facility in the Southern Hemisphere.
