Photoshop Request Causes Dozens to Help a Grieving Father After Losing His New Born Baby (PHOTOS)
A heartbroken Ohio dad, Nathen Steffel, saw the comforting power of community recently when a simple request compelled dozen of strangers to offer comfort after the loss of his newborn daughter, Sophia.
Sophia was just six weeks old when her parents lost her, due to a liver tumor. After this loss, Steffel posted a request on Reddit, with a photo of his daughter Sophia covered in hospital tubes.

With the picture Steffel just had one simple wish, "My daughter recently passed away after a long battle in the children's hospital," he wrote, "Since she was in the hospital her whole life, we never were able to get a photo without all her tubes. Can someone remove the tubes from this photo?"
Immediately dozen of strangers moved by the heartfelt request sprung into action to help bring the devastated parents some comfort. Some even offering Steffel money in which he politely turned down.
After the flood of pictures and comments, Steffel shared how grateful he and his wife were for all of the support.
"This is really amazing. Everyone you have made my day. All I wanted was a nice picture," he posted on Reddit, "What I received was a lot of love and support from a bunch of strangers. A long with a lot of great photos, drawings and paintings. Thanks everyone!"
Steffel told TODAY that when he showed some of the retouched photos to his wife, she teared up.
"I was overwhelmed with the response I got," he said. "My wife and I were so grateful so many people took the time out of their own lives to either send a nice message of sympathy or an awesome drawing. They couldn't have made this father any happier."
Below are just a few of the retouched photos:
